Whether your interests lie in policy, strategic planning, philanthropy or networking, MSDC members have multiple opportunities to network, get involved with a wide variety of topics and groups, and help shape the future of the profession.

Advocacy Committee
- What area of interest is needed? Politics, advocacy, MSDC policy
- What is the time commitment? One hour Zoom calls every other month, plus participating in Council Visit Day
- Who can join? Any Active member can vote and participate, Associate members can be invited to join calls

Early Career Physician Section
- What area of interest is needed? Shaping the future of medical professionals
- What is the time commitment? Quarterly events plus opportunity to participate in mentoring
- Who can join? Medical students, Residents/Fellows, physicians within the first 8 years of practice, and physicians interested in being mentors

Finance Committee
- What area of interest is needed? Market performance, business strategy
- What is the time commitment? One hour Zoom calls every quarter
- Who can join? Any Active members

Gender Equity Task Force
- What area of interest is needed? Diversity and gender equity policy
- What is the time commitment? Occasional Zoom calls and email work through February 2025.
- Who can join? Any Active member can vote and participate, Associate members can be invited to join calls

Medical Practice Management Group
- What area of interest is needed? Running a practice, helping physicians help patients
- What is the time commitment? Occasional in-person networking events and education sessions
- Who can join? Associate members involved in practice logistics; office managers
- Elevator description of the opportunity: Learn from peers and experts trends and tips for running a practice

Membership Committee
- What area of interest is needed? Making MSDC more attractive to all types of physicians and students
- What is the time commitment? One hour Zoom calls every quarter
- Who can join? Active members can participate and vote, Associate members can be invited to listen in.

Physician Health Committee
- What area of interest is needed? Addiction medicine, mentorship, professional advocacy
- What is the time commitment? Monthly ninety-minute Zoom calls on second Monday during lunch
- Who can join? Active members with the approval of the committee Chair and subject to signing a privacy agreement.
- Elevator description of the opportunity: Determine the treatment path of physicians battling addiction or behavioral health issues

Private Practice Physician Section
- What area of interest is needed? Help physicians practice in any setting
- What is the time commitment? Quarterly networking events plus other opportunities to network during the year
- Who can join? Any Active member who works for non-hospital, non-PE-owned practice
