2021 Proposed Health Insurance Rates Virtual Public Hearing September 1, 2020 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
The Bowser Administration, through the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB), will conduct a hearing to allow the public to comment on the 2021 proposed rates for individual and small group health insurance plans offered in the District of Columbia. DISB will evaluate the input provided by residents before making its final determination on the proposed rates.

DISB received the 2021 individual and small group health insurance rate filings for the four health insurance companies operating in the District of Columbia: Aetna, CareFirst, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc. and United Healthcare. The hearing is an opportunity for the public to present their testimonials, and comment on the proposed health insurance rates. The proposed rates are available for review at disb.dc.gov/node/1477081. Any member of the public wishing to testify at the hearing should contact the Department at HealthRate.Comments@dc.gov or by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27 to have their names added to the witness list.
