Committee on Health Hearing on the Public Health Elements of the COVID-19 Response November 4, 2021 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Councilmember Vincent C. Gray, Chairperson of the Committee on Health, announces a Public Oversight Hearing on the "Public Health Element of the District’s COVID-19 Response." The hearing will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at10:00 a.m., via Webex.
This hearing will be a continuation of the Committee on Health’s series of oversight hearings examining the public health element of the District’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the hearing will be to have Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, Director of the DC Department of Health, to provide an update as to current and future impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the District of Columbia. Topics to be discussed at the hearing may include, but will not be limited to: the COVID-19 vaccinations rates and process for adults, eligible minors and among certain professions; the District’s public health initiatives to curb COVID-19 infections; and information on hospitalizations. This hearing will allow the public to share ideas or concerns on COVID-19 related policies, regulations, and other COVID-19 related matters.
