The MSDC Private Practice Physician Section is holding a physician led conversation on how to manage your digital presence. This informal conversation will be led by Dr. Neelam Khan and Dr. Alison Ehrlich and promises an evening of information, conversation, and fun.

Speakers

Dr. Neelam Khan is a Board-certified Dermatologist specializing in cosmetic and medical dermatology. Dr. Khan attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate degree, completed a research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and obtained both her Masters of Science and Doctorate of Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at Medstar Washington Hospital Center, before pursuing her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate in New York City. During residency, she developed her passion for cosmetic dermatology and spent time cultivating a holistic, evidence-based approach to aesthetics, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring by working directly with key leaders in the field. Dr. Khan is an avid fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine, and Washington DC Dermatological Society. Additionally, she serves on leadership committees for both the Women’s Dermatologic Society and Skin of Color Society. Dr. Khan has published several research papers and enjoys mentoring medical students and residents in dermatology.

Dr. Alison Ehrlich, a board certified dermatologist, is the former founding Chair and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Dermatology at The George Washington University.  After many years in academic medicine, she is now establishing her private practice in the Washington D.C area, but continuing to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic contact dermatitis and psoriasis as well as cosmetic dermatology.  Following her residency in Dermatology, she completed a fellowship in Clinical Research and Masters in Clinical Research through a combined NIH/Duke program.

Dr. Ehrlich has overseen the dermatology at the combined dermatology/ rheumatology clinics while at GW. She continues to participate in and lead clinical research studies, and her current research projects focus on psoriasis, allergic contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis.

She is active in dermatology leadership; and is Currently on the Board of Directors of the Noah Worcester Society and Vice President of the American Contact Dermatitis Society. She has served as president of the DC Dermatological Society, past board member of the American Contact Dermatitis Society, and past Chair of the Access to Care Committee for the American Academy of Dermatology.  She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for The Asthma and Allergy Foundation and a prior member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Dermatological Society. She has lectured both within the US and abroad on psoriasis and contact dermatitis and has published extensively on these topics.
