MSDC Seeking Early Career Doctors for AMA-YPS February 25, 2020
Written by MSDC Staff
The Medical Society of DC is seeking member early career physicians interested in serving as the Society's representative on the American Medical Association Young Physicians Section (AMA-YPS).
The AMA-YPS "gives voice to and advocates for issues that impact physicians under 40 years of age or within the first eight (8) years of professional practice after residency and fellowship training". The YPS has resources for early career physicians they can use during the year, opportunities to network and engage during AMA meetings, and ways to participate in the AMA policy process.
MSDC AMA-YPS delegates are not required to attend AMA's 2020 Annual or Interim meetings (although it is encouraged by the AMA!) but can still benefit from AMA-YPS resources. Those interested in participating may contact Robert Hay Jr. via email.
For local early career professional events, join our BYD section and keep an eye on our calendar of events.
