MSDC Women in Medicine Section Chair Dr. Jaya Kasaraneni appeared on WJLA Morning News to discuss National Women Physicians Day. Dr. Kasaraneni emphasized the alarming number of women who are leaving the profession and the pay disparity that women physicians experience.

Women in medicine face unique burdens and the Women in Medicine Section is addressing them on a professional and personal level. These issues are being highlighted at MSDC’s National Women Physicians Day event tonight at 5:30 PM, which physicians can attend virtually by registering here. MSDC has a long history of supporting women in medicine and its leadership includes women physicians such as President Dr. Kirstiaan Nevin, Board Chair Dr. Desiree Pineda, and President-elect Dr. Susanne Bathgate.
