MSDC Launches Advocacy Discussion Groups
MSDC members now have a new way to share thoughts on local policy issues - all from their phone or desktop.
As part of its strategic plan, MSDC wants to make it easier for members to engage with the Society and each other on local policy issues. The Advocacy Committee recently voted to create subcommittees, or discussion groups, on three topics: health equity, scope of practice, and private practice. These groups are open to all Active Members and are a place where Active Members can share their thoughts on advocacy issues, identify areas where MSDC may need to take action, and highlight issues for the Advocacy Committee to make recommendations to the MSDC Board.
The groups are hosted by the Healthy Physician App, which MSDC and the Healthy Physician Foundation have used for meeting connections and wellness tips. Learn about the app here.
For ease of use, MSDC Active Members can email hay@msdc.org to sign up for a subcommittee group. You will then receive a confirmation email with a link to the group, which will allow you to post and follow conversations.
