Apr 3, 2020, 08:09 AM by MSDC Staff
MSDC, ACP DC, and DCAFP send a letter to the Mayor highlighting physician needs during COVID-19.

On April 3, MSDC with the American College of Physicians - DC Chapter and DC Academy of Family Physician sent a letter to the Mayor highlighting pressing physician concerns during the COVID-19 emergency.

The letter, seen here, highlights major issues facing all physicians in the District:

  • Prioritizing COVID-19 testing for physicians
  • Equalizing telemdicine with in-person visits regardless of insurance situation
  • Creating grant or loan opportunities for physician practices
  • Distributing more PPE to physicians of all types of practices
  • Creating legal protections for physicians during the public health crisis

In the coming days MSDC will be working with all physician organizations to continue ensuring that all physicians receive the physical, financial, and emotional protections they need during this crisis.
